Human-AI Interaction Lab
The Human-AI Interaction Lab (HAIL) investigates how people interpret, interact with, and live with AI technologies, and explores new approaches to AI-based user experience design. We take an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on human-computer interaction, interaction design, and critical technical practice to reimagine human-AI relations. Our work spans various domains, including well-being, creativity, and learning.

- We received funding, as one of the six projects in the DFF thematic call on AI, to research how to reduce over-reliance and foster responsible use of Emotion Tracking through Self-Reflection.
- We are excited to be a partner in the “RAID - Responsible AI in Interaction Design Practice” project, funded by NordForsk, to research how the interaction design industry should adapt to AI in responsible ways. (Project Lead: University of Bergen)
- Our work and collaboration are presented at DIS ’26, including two full papers (Honorable Mention) and one Pictorial (Best Pictorial Award).
