Abstract
Infrastructures are persistent socio-technical systems used to
deliver different kinds of services. Researchers have looked
into how awareness of infrastructures in the areas of sustainability
[6, 10] and software appropriation [11] can be provided.
However, designing infrastructure-aware systems has
specific requirements, which are often ignored. In this paper
we explore the challenges when developing infrastructure
awareness systems based on contextual analysis, and
propose guidelines for enhancing the design process.
