Organisation and participation in workshop, seminar, course: The Good Question Workshop (Event)

While questions drive academic exchanges, many women and minorities find Q&A sessions intimidating or hostile, and their voices are subsequently underrepresented. Our project will address this through evidence-based tools: a digital phrasebank of constructive questions and a practical workbook that both illustrates subtle exclusionary dynamics—dismissal, undermining, being ignored—and showcases positive practices that encourage participation and build inclusive scholarly dialogue. To develop these resources, we need to gather evidence and ideas from members of the academic community.
