The case of chemsex
In this presentation I will present my work with critically disrupting the normative responses that the subject of chemsex seems to engender. I argue that this critical project is sustained by mixing media in the analysis, bringing out sites mostly overlooked, and doing the sometimes awkward work of bringing them together. Simply by studying chemsex as something more than a somatic event, I shed light on the social operation and consumption of chemsex as an erotic of disinhibition.
