Invited speaker at the public event: Encounters Across Art and Science
Encounters Across Art and Science is the first in a series of investigative events with and for artists, scientists, thinkers, doers and the general public. Through dialogue and discussion we introduce and expand on the curious, inquiring and deeply engaging transdisciplinary practices that are occurring across the arts and sciences.
In our first encounter we present a history of art and science practices, case studies of collaborations and panel discussions which aim to encourage, support and inspire new dialogues and activities across the disciplines.
Shaping our experience, perception and understanding of the world, both art and science are nurtured by our creativity. Both can work together on how we translate factual information into actual and emotional experiences to offer new ways to understand new realities.
Encounters Across Art and Science is curated by the Trouble Group and hosted by the Bioartsociety. The event is supported by the University of Oulu - Genes and Society Argumenta Project.
